    News

The list of health benefits that accompanies wine seems to be endless. Recently we’ve learned that wine can not only helps reduce the risk of blocked arteries, but it can also improve brain function. Thus, giving people even more reasons to have their wine and drink it too. The new “it” trend, however, is pairing your wine with a complementary fragrance to make your drink that much more enjoyable. People are raving about how diffusing certain scents will enrich the taste of your pour. Here’s a quick guide to help you pair your wine this weekend:

    • Full-bodied and oaky red wines like Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot will taste amazing with cedarwood, leather, and fir needle scent notes floating in the air. Try it out with our fragrance, My Way.
    • Medium and lighter bodied red wines like Pinot Noir will taste best with notes of rose, jasmine, and geranium filling your nose. Have a glass with our scent, 24K Magic.
    • Next time you have a medium to full-bodied white wine like Chardonnay pair it with caramel lemon scents. Try it out with this beautiful lemon-infused scent: The Sweetest Taboo.
    • Medium bodied white wines like Sauvignon Blanc are best complemented by scents with honeydew melon or minty notes. Try our Dream On next time you’re sipping to enhance the taste.

For generations, candles have helped us decorate our homes, see in the darkness when the power goes out, and of course, create endearing scents for visitors and ourselves alike. But, alas, this is no longer the only solution to scenting your space. New waves of scent innovations have become available over the years, allowing you to try out alternative ways to scent your space. Here are a few of the aroma solutions many people have been using.

    Plugin

A plugin is great at dispersing a fragrance into your space. It plugs into an outlet, where the oil is then warmed and dispersed into the air. Plugins have a strong lasting smell that can fill up a room and can last for several days until the oil evaporates. You will want to make sure the plugin is removed from the outlet or refilled as you don’t want it to stay in the outlet for too long once it is empty.

    Incense

A burning stick of incense is still a popular method of scenting a space but does pose the possibility of creating a smokey room. As long as your smoke detector isn’t super sensitive, incense can be a great way to introduce a hefty dose of nice smells for aromatherapy. With thousands of different incense aromas to choose from, you can have fun experimenting with the perfect combination of scents for your home.

    Reed Diffuser

A reed diffuser is a step up from incense when it comes to scenting your space, as it leaves no smoke behind. It soaks up the scented oil and then disperses the aroma into the air. Reed diffusers last until all the scented oil evaporates. Whether kept in a bathroom or an entryway to your office, a reed diffuser will keep these areas smelling fresh and add a stylish touch to any surface.

    Scent Diffuser

As we begin to bring more of our favorite spa scents into our homes, the scent diffuser is not one to leave behind. Used in aromatherapy massage rooms for years, scent diffusers are becoming increasingly popular due to their capability to scent an entire home with ease. They're efficient, relatively quiet and can be left unattended. That means you can achieve the perfect level of home scenting even while you're at work.

All in all, there are a ton of awesome ways to make your home smell incredible without relying on a candle. Achieving a long-lasting scent is now easier than ever before, so don't be afraid to test out several methods!

Hotel Collection is dedicated to bringing the luxury of vacation to your home. With our fragrances, you can fill your space with soothing aromas inspired by luxury hotels around the world like The W Hotel and EDITION Hotels. Here’s how to make your apartment smell good, like a fancy hotel.

    Get Rid of Unwanted Odors

Start by getting rid of any obvious odors. Hotel Collection scents are quite powerful and may be able to cover any odor, but it’s still best to get rid of any funky smells. Scrub every nook and cranny, wipe down furniture, and make sure your kitchen appliances have been cleaned well. If possible, open your windows to let some fresh air circulate.

    Choose Your Scenting Solution

Our wide range of scenting options provide the perfect solution for any space.

     Candles

Candles are best for creating a relaxing atmosphere after a busy day at work. Hotel Collection candles come in stylish glasses that take your home décor up a notch and fill your space with fragrance. Enjoy a spa-like experience while you shower or soak in the tub. Then, have another candle ready at your dining table for whenever you feel like having a candlelit dinner.

     Reeds

Reed diffusers are great for keeping your home fragrant while you’re away. They disperse scents naturally and do not require heat or electricity. Get a few in the same scent and place them in various rooms to fill your entire place with a luxurious fragrance. Hotel Collection reed diffusers can add an elegant touch to any chic interior.

     Scent Diffuser

For full coverage of your apartment, place a scent diffuser in your living room or the more central part of your apartment. Our diffuser uses cold-air diffusion technology that maintains steady and constant dispersion of fragrances. Being that they are portable, you can also conveniently move them to any location.

If you can’t decide which one to choose, you can opt to get all four types in the same scent or switch it up with a different scent in every room. But regardless of what you decide to use, there is a Hotel Collection scent that will suit your preferences.

    MY WAY

This aromatic masterpiece is the perfect balance between sensuality, ruggedness, and luxury. The fragrance is a woody and alluring blend of sandalwood, Virginia cedar, and iris.
